Interpretive programs – guided hikes, kids’ programs, evening amphitheatre programs and special events - are offered daily during the summer season from July 1 to Labour Day Weekend. Some programs are offered on weekends in September.

Visitor Centre

There’s lots to see, do and experience at the Visitor Centre. Displays, live exhibits and a kids’ corner are all designed to help you become acquainted with the park and its special stories. The Nature Shop (operated by the Friends of Charleston Lake Park) is located within the Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre is also open daily in July and August.

Charleston for Kids Programs

Come learn about Charleston Lake up-close, through an hour of discovery with games, stories and exciting demonstrations. Kids of all ages will enjoy these fun-filled programs that explore the park and all it has to offer.

Evening Amphitheatre Programs

Come to the Amphitheatre for a fascinating exploration of some intriguing aspect of Charleston Lake’s wildlife and human history, at an eye-opening evening slide show presentation.

Guided Hikes

Join a Park Naturalist on a leisurely outing to see nature or history up-close and personal, exploring the park’s rich natural and human history.

Special Events

The park offers a number of special events, whereby special guests come to present interesting aspects of the park’s wildlife and human history.
