The Friends is an association of volunteers with the purpose of furthering the public’s awareness, education, and understanding of the geological, historical/archaeological, cultural and biological resources of Charleston Lake Provincial Park by undertaking specific projects and initiatives such as providing educational/interpretative and recreational publications, maps and audio-visual materials.
We encourage and support natural, historical and cultural research, offer periodic special events and activities for the benefit of the public, and stimulate community interest and understanding to help insure the protection of the Park.
The Friends organization is carried on without purpose of gain for its members and any profits or other accretions to the Friends shall be used in promoting its objectives and for no other purpose.
